| In Search of the Moufflon in the Paphos Forest |
Lucas Christophorou
DVD C £21.40 Video C£16.60 |
| Lucas Christophorou is the author of The Birds of Cyprus - known to many and enjoyed in part for his outstanding photographs of the breeding and migratory birds of Cyprus . Lucas has turned his hand this time to producing a wildlife documentary focusing on the Moufflon in the Paphos Forest . The narration is in Greek with English subtitles and the viewer is taken on a journey through the beautiful countryside of the Paphos area in search of moufflon . Having found them they are filmed throughout the year to give an overview of their lives. Some documentaries give the observer the feeling of the remoteness of the particular place they are viewing, in this one too the very special and unique countryside of Cyprus is captured. Anybody wanting to know what makes up most of this lovely island would get a fantastic view of that, Lucas has included footage of vultures, various birds and snakes too. A perfect documentary that highlights the unspoilt part of Cyprus which, on seeing this film will prove that much of it still is. |
